The 2013 Acura TL will likely see few changes following the model’s substantial freshening for 2012. As reported by an online automotive magazine “Automotive News”, the 2013 Acura TL will be chosen as well by Acura to receive a gas- electric option. The 2013 Acura TL flagship is reported to be no longer use the rear drive V-8 version.

The 2013 Acura TL design which is based on the Honda Accord mid- sized sedan this year received a major fascia change. The base 2013 Acura TL V6 will be available with Honda’s large- car hybrid system as an option while a new cylinder deactivation system and stop-start ignition will be completed the V6 which is now lighter than its predecessor. 2013 Acura TL-instrument-panel

Inside, 2013 Acura TL cabin generally presents well, with rich-feeling leather and soft dash and door surfaces; some hard plastics are disappointing, but most are kept out of direct sight. A discreetly placed tray holds an MP3 player out of sight while connected to the standard USB port. Cabin isolation is not the 2013 Acura TL strong suit.

In particular, more road and tire roar make it into the 2013 Acura TL interior than is expected for the class. Noise levels are not intrusive, but the 2013 Acura TL isn’t particularly serene either; either engine is virtually silent at cruise. The 2013 Acura TL instrument panel features large and legible main gauges.

The center stack and steering wheel have an excessive number of buttons, particularly with the Technology or Advance Packages. The 2013 Acura TL navigation screen in the Technology and Advance Packages appears bright even in changing ambient light conditions, and its high placement doesn’t distract from the road.

The 2013 Acura TL so equipped use an “interface dial” to access these systems, it’s not as complicated as some European premium cars, but a touch screen would probably make things simpler. This 2013 Acura TL sedan is offered in Base and SH-AWD (for Super Handling All-Wheel Drive) versions, each with a V6 engine while the base versions are front-wheel drive and are fitted with a 280-horsepower 3.5-liter engine.

The 2013 Acura TL SH-AWD uses a 305-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 and also receives a sport suspension. Standard on all 2013 Acura TL is a 6-speed automatic transmission while a 6-speed manual is only offered on SH-AWD models equipped with the optional Technology Package. 2013 Acura TL safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain-side airbags, and front-side airbags.

Standard features include leather upholstery with heated front seats, a sunroof, and a wireless cell-phone link. The Technology Package, which is priced as a separate model, includes a Acura navigation system with real-time traffic and weather alerts and an up level audio system. The Advance Package, again priced as a separate model, includes blind-spot alert, ventilated front seats and larger wheels (18-inch on the Base and 19-inch on the 2013 Acura TL SH-AWD).

Driving Impression 2013 Acura TL

Because of the lighter transmission, the 2013 Acura TL specs weighs 88 lb less overall, and front/rear weight distribution improves from 59/41 to 58/42. Any Acura TL is quite nimble and fun to drive, but front-drive models under steer more than their all-wheel-drive siblings in spirited driving and the electric-power-steering system requires low effort in low-speed situations, such as parking.

Effort increases as speed rises, but the 2013 Acura TL never feels heavy or cumbersome. The 2013 Acura TL SH-AWD deserves special praise for its stability in nearly any driving condition meanwhile a large brakes deliver impressive stopping control.
